Nermal

What can you say
about
a friend
you loved and
never doubted
loved you?
I'm not even
going to try.
Nermal outside Nov 2003
Back in January 2003, I wrote a letter to Nermal.  It turned out to be rather long, but it held many of my memories of our lives and my hopes that he knew how much I loved him and that he'd had a good life.  Less than a year later, on November 17, 2003, I lost him to chronic renal failure.  I added postscripts to the letter then and again three months later.  One version has small pictures of him sprinkled through it at appropriate points; the other version is text-only, much faster to load, and you can see the pictures in the gallery if you want to.

There really isn't much that I can say about him that isn't included in that letter.  He was the heart of my world, and no words can really describe that.  I'm grateful for the time we had together, but I wish there'd been more of it, and that he'd spent less of it suffering from health problems.

Five years later, I'm using everything I've learned since to streamline this site and make it work on a wider range of computers.  And I'm still mourning while I do it....  Nermal, my love, my guardian angel-cat, thank you for bringing Trick and Angel for Loki, he missed you so much.  I can't see you, hear you, touch you, now, but I know you're still checking in on us.  Keep watching over us, until we're together again.

Wow, lots of words to say, I love you, I miss you, I remember you...
